Perfect tuner, a must have.
Do the UI update for newer phones.
TC ELECTRONIC TNX!!!))
shame on tc-electronic.....ops, behringer
I submit that it cannot. Ive been playing for almost 20 years, used a multitude of tuners, both physical and app-based, and Polytune is the best tuner Ive ever used hands down and without reservation. It is well accurate and the fact that it tunes all six strings at once is musical icing on the cake. I dont write reviews. Ever. But I got this app years ago when it first came out(for free I might add) and I have been using it with pleasure ever since.
Been using this app for a while and like it a lot. I only wish theyd update it to look better on newer devices. Newer as in the iPhone 5. Please guys the 4s is the last iPhone this app looked good on.
Ive tried a bunch of tuners and always end up coming back to Polytune. It auto detects well and the six-strings-at-a-glance view is very helpful to spot which one is out of tune.
Currently the only tuner app I have. However it feels neglected for a couple of reasons. 1. No way to customize for alternate tunings. 2. Doesnt have 7, 8, or higher string counts for more modern instruments. 3. Now gives a warning on the iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 10.1 saying that the app will slow down the phone. Time to update T.C.
Responds extremely slow. Not built yet for an iPhone 6 Plus. Not nearly usable for a pro guitar player. Skip and go with Cleartune instead.
I love this app and it works exactly as advertised! The only problem is that there are other apps at a cheaper price that seem to work better for me. Polytune will tune your guitar but as far as Im concerned, Guitar Machine has the best tuning capabilities for fine tuning your instrument. Do not be discouraged by this review, I just think that Polytune should have been a little cheaper than the $9.99 price tag. Edit Now that the price of this app has dropped, what happens to those of us who paid the 9.99 price? Am I getting a refund or iTunes store credit?
The poly tune function is inaccurate, however the single note function is extremely accurate.
Dunno if its my aging ears or a $150 guitar, but Polytune whips em both into shape. Great visual feedback. The poly part is nice and interesting, but just using this as a tuner was a great experience. I have several other tuners and this one did a better job of getting the fiddle tuned purty. Thanks, TC.
Simply put - this app is outstanding and well worth spending the money
This tuner works quite well in both single and poly tune modes if there isnt too much background noise. I do note that the bass setting shows five strings for some reason. If theyd add a few more instruments (such as ukulele) it would be even better.
The TC Electronic Polytune app is outstanding. It is the best product that I only paid $4.99 for since 1965! It is an amazing multi string guitar tuner. Extremely accurate, easy to use and handy. Good job TC Electronics!
Got this on a whim. Super impressed. Might have to buy the pedal now. I feel silly using a traditional tuner now!
I was going to purchase the TC Electronics Polytune foot pedal tuner but I read somewhere they had an iPhone app. I purchased the app and used the iRig connector to connect bass to iPhone. Both single string and poly tune worked very well using the iRig connection. Whats really cool is that when I strum one string, polytunes interface is the one-string mode. When I strum all four strings it goes into polytune mode automatically. Really great interface. So I strum all four strings and get tuned that way, then I check each individual string if needed. If on stage and little time just a strum of the strings while amp is on mute (and hooked via tuner out with the iRig) for a quick check. The polytune gets the strings either perfect or really close to perfect then just fine tune the strings that need it. The tracking is fast on all strings as well. This app is really cool.
Those who like this app have tone deafness. Not only is the Polytune mode inaccurate, so is the single string mode. Your guitar will sound like #$% after using this tuner. And think about it - why "get close in multi string mode, then fine tune?" thats a waste of time and a gimmick. Get the Peterson or tune by ear.
This has become my main tuner and its always with me! I still dont have a guitar adapter for my iPhone but I just turn on my Mesa on the clean channel loud and it works flawlessly. This is seriously a gift from TC since theyre giving you a $100 value for almost nothing!
